  • Nokomai Valley Lodge

    Nokomai Valley lodge is a special rural retreat nestled in the home valley of Nokomai Station, a high country sheep and cattle property approx an hour south of Queenstown. It was built in 2001, on the site of the first homestead settled in 1857. The stone section of the historic house has been restored. The accommodation cottages are comfortable, modern one or two bedroom units, well set up for travellers, with room for outdoor gear and private laundries. Complimentary wifi. All meals are available, prebooking essential due to location.

    The Brown Trout Cafe offers a range of delicious home-made food with both dine-in and take-away options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From pies and sandwiches to scrumptious scones and muffins, we also serve great locally-roasted ROAR coffee or a resfreshing non-alchoholic or alchoholic drink. There's something bound to appease your appetite. A great spot to stop!

  • The Hide Café & Garden Bar

    Located in Athol, the Hide offers a delicious selection of dine in and takeaway food from 7.30am right through to evening dining. The Hide has a fully stocked bar with a selection of wine and beer from New Zealand and overseas which can be enjoyed on or off premises. Our garden bar is the perfect place to unwind. Over the summer months, there are market stalls each Sunday and frequently live music to create a great vibe on a sunny day. There is a great selection of giftware, homewares and Kiwiana for you to browse while taking a break. The Hide also run a reasonably-priced courtesy coach for those staying in the area. We can pick you up and return you home after dinner (pre bookings are essential).
